Who We Are

Positive Entrepreneurs Network, created in 2010 by entrepreneurs with the support of Poseco, is the Belgian network of social entrepreneurs. Positive Entrepreneurs are empowering people who base their core business on human, social and ecological values.

What We Do

Connecting social entrepreneurs with eachother and with key stakeholders helping to create economic opportunities. We also inspire entrepreneurs, universities and political authorities for this innovative entrepreneurship.

Why We Do It

To strengthen social entrepreneurs themselves and to develop the movement of social entrepreneurship in Belgium. More social entrepreneurs means more social impact to create a better world.

Workshops "Entrepreneurs"



The interactive workshops in the afternoon are in French and free of charge.

These workshops will start at 14:30.

The objective of the workshops "Entrepreneurs" is to meet and interact with those social entrepreneurs, to discover their business model, the different steps in their development, their "drive" and to get inspired.

The entrepreneurs will explain how they manage to combine social impact and sustainable businesses. The speakers act in different sectors of the economy, such as ethical finance, ecological production or social issues.

WORKSHOP n°1 - Complementary coins for cooperatives

Etienne Hayem - CEO of SYMBA & Connector for OuiShare
Symba is a new alternative local coin that supports SME’s involved in the fair economy, to which banks refuse to give credit.

Etienne Hayem, 30 years old, consultant, blogger, is at the initiative of the cooperative Symba: a new complementary regional coin, supported by the region Ile-de-France (Paris). Symba gives credit to small companies, companies that have a positive impact : social, environmental and/or economical. According to Etienne Hayem, the new local coins and global cryptocoins represent two sides of the same movement, that wants to give new meaning to money. He participated to the creation of the Ouishare and is active as a connector for Ouishare. He animates a group Ouishare money on monetary questions. He represents the sharing economy.

Didier Pierre - Founder & CEO of Nearly New Office Facilities (NNOF)
Why buy brandnew stuff if the old furniture can be recycled?

Didier Pierre, is founder and CEO of the company NNOF (Nearly New Office Facilities) based in Vilvoorde. Since the turn of the century, he started educating himself about a phenomenon called climate change. He came to the conclusion that he had do something, that he had to act. As a manager, he wanted especially to be ‘a responsible social entrepreneur’. He combined ecological thinking with a socially sustainable and viable business model. NNOF starts from existing resources, the existing office furniture of the client, and uses these ‘building blocks’ to design and realize new contemporary workplaces. An interesting story about the opportunities that exist in the circular economy.

Anna Balez - Founder & CEO of TALE ME
Tale me is an online community, through leasing clothes, you can share trendy clothes.

Once upon a time, there was a young woman, Anna Balez, who wanted to turn the idea of service economy into a reality! As a young mother, she began her adventure accompanied by the Brussels Enterprise Agency, which transformed her into a seasoned entrepreneur. Idealistic but pragmatic, with great respect for humanity and the environment, a touch of commitment and deeply-rooted convictions, Anna has created Tale Me. Tale Me offers plenty of opportunities to change the wardrobe of our little ones.

David Vuylsteke - CEO of PiggyBee

David Vuylsteke is the founder of Piggybee. Born in France, raised in Belgium, graduated in the US, David has been touring all over the planet as a live sound engineer for world music bands. Born entrepreneur, he runs his sound company for over 20 years. Web pioneer back in 2001, David gained expertise on shipping, delivering sound and light equipment worldwide through his online store. In 2012, he created his new startup PiggyBee, collaborative platform that connects people seeking to give or send something along with travelers.

Lucie Barthlen & Julie Desgrippes - Connectors of MakeSense

MakeSense’s mission is to accelerate the impact of social entrepreneurs projects involving the largest number of people around solving their challenges. MakeSense is an open, collaborative project built on a community of passionate people through social entrepreneurship, innovation and Web 2.0. Resolving the challenges of social entrepreneurs happens through ‘creativity’ workshops, the "Hold-Ups", facilitated by members of the MakeSense community and by bringing fifteen people together during two hours.

Rob Renaerts - Founder & CEO of CODUCO

Rob Renaerts has written several studies on the environmental impact of our food consumption and specialized in eco-labels and sustainable procurement. He created CODUCO. CODUCO, counselling agency, accompanies any company that wishes to engage in actions for more sustainable and responsible consumption, both for its internal consumption as well as for the supplies and services it offers to customers and to the public. Rob inspired the creation of ’Beer Project’.
